List of cancerous diseases - an introduction to the management of these conditions

Cancerous diseases occurs due to excessive, uncontrolled abnormal cell growth that invade (grow into) and destroy the other tissues of the body. What makes his cell growth differ from normal cell growth. Instead of dying, these cells continue to grow and form new abnormal cells. They grew in almost any organ or tissue from the body.

The origin of these changes is to DNA damage. DNA is in every cell and directs all its shares whose replication or growth is our major concern. In a normal, when DNA gets damaged cell cell or repairs the damage or the cell dies. In this case, the DNA damage is not repaired or its programmed cell die instead of this, this cell will make new cells that the body should not, with the same DNA damage as in the first cell.

The United States and the Canada, cancer is the second leading cause of death from heart disease. Each year, approximately 1.7 million Americans and more than 150,000 Canadians are diagnosed this complication and more than half a million of us die.

A few years ago a diagnosis of cancer has little hope of survival because medical science is lack of understanding about the disease and how to control. Today, approximately two-thirds of all Americans diagnosed condition live longer than five years. Whereas it is to pretend that patients with this condition is long-term, free survival significantly improves if the patient had no recurrence of it for five years after the initial diagnosis of the disease. Years of this disease, the mortality rate increased in developing countries. American Cancer Society in 2006 reported that the number of deaths due to this medical condition to the United States declined for two consecutive years. The decrease was attributed to public awareness, detection of smoke, decrease at the beginning and improved medical treatment or management.
